Found it bartacus found Daniel Boone's Secret Stash

Tuesday, June 25, 2002North Carolina

WHAT A FIND! Found this one today with Honeychile; She gets first spotter credit. That has to be the most creative hiding place I've seen so far.

The main gate is locked up with signs stating 'Road Closed' and 'Closed For Renovations'. We parked at the gate and hiked on in, adding about 3/4 mile to the journey.

The park is in severe disrepair. They've removed all signs and maps, and the water has been shut off. Not that we needed any more water today! The first rain in weeks arrives today, and it waits until we're half a mile from the car to dump on us.

The trail was majorly overgrown, and washed away in some spots. But needless to say, the soaked-through wet-jeans hike was well worth it. Thanks for a fun hunt!

Took nothing, left a pair of nubby non-slip work gloves.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
