It has become a tradition that we make a yearly geocaching road trip in the US. It's the fifth year in a row that we do so, but the first time we visit the Eastern part of the country – starting in Miami and ending in Boston. This year's trip brought us through 17 states and one Canadian province.

When we planned the route of our road trip we decided to book two nights in Charlotte. That gave us the opportunity to spend a full day in this area today. Our main goals were to visit three old caches (published in the years 2000 and 2001) and to find a bunch of caches in South Carolina. Our trip also included a visit in Idlewild Road Park. We had planned to spend more time here, but the weather was hot and humid and after a while we decided to continue to caches which required a bit less physical exercise. In the evening we visited Hornets Nest Park and found a few caches there.

This cache was found at 14:13. It was our first find in South Carolina.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
