It has become a tradition that we make a yearly geocaching road trip in the US. It's the fifth year in a row that we do so, but the first time we visit the Eastern part of the country – starting in Miami and ending in Boston. This year's trip brought us through 17 states and one Canadian province.

Today we had one of the longest hotel-to-hotel distances of the entire road trip. We went from Hancock, Maryland to Niagara Falls, New York State. Because of the long distance we did not have much time for detours, but luckily the route was beautiful and it provided a bunch of nice caches as well. In the middle of the afternoon we took the time for a walk along a very muddy trail with a nice series of caches. Conveniently we could wash our boots in the river before returning to our car. We found caches in all 11 counties we passed on our way towards Niagara Falls. In the evening we went to the falls and enjoyed the fireworks and the illuminated falls.

This cache was found at 9:16. It was our first find in Pennsylvania. It is awarded a favorite point for the creativity.

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
