It has become a tradition that we make a yearly geocaching road trip in the US. It's the fifth year in a row that we do so, but the first time we visit the Eastern part of the country – starting in Miami and ending in Boston. This year's trip brought us through 17 states and one Canadian province.

Today was day 26 of our trip. The short hotel-to-hotel distance of the day (from Franconia, New Hampshire to Barre, Vermont) allowed plenty of time for geocaching. We focused on the ART series along the Ammonoosuc Rail Trail. There were far to many caches for one day of walking, but we found a nice bunch of caches in the beginning of the trail (near Littleton), quite a few in the middle of the trail (around Lisbon) and two at the end of the trail (in Woodsville). All in all we walked more than 30 kilometers along the trail.

During the rest of our trip we made frequent cache stops and thus managed to find caches in all counties, we passed today.

This cache was found at 18:51. It was our first find in Vermont - our last new geo-state on this road trip!

Thanks for the cache and greetings from Denmark!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
