My InstaNotify is set far and wide, so there is always a clutch of newly published caches to have a look at when I fire up the computer in the morning. Today was different, a cache barely 4 miles away! My initial reading of the web page had me thinking there were six other caches to find first but all became clear quickly enough and final co-ordinates were soon mine. A short car journey to the suggested car park where I am the only car there - surely a good sign. A short while later I am at GZ and cachers instinct has me at the hiding spot before the GPS has had time to settle. Nice container! Moment of truth.... Yes! a blank log book!

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
