Day 15 of our trip over Nevada-Utah-Arizona-California !
We woke up quite early this morning at our motel located in 29 Palms. Our main goal today was to undertake the Cadiz Cachex4ing CCX series of caches. So we drove to Amboy to start the trail. There we knew about Rte66 closure dure to big rains that destroyed many bridges.
We had full sun today and we even hit 53°C around lunch time. Wow !
This road is more or less praticable with some large soft sand wash beeing quite challenging as the one between CCX4-069 and 70. Glad that it gets easier after CCX4-100.
We really enjoyed a lot this desert caching experience.
It is also during this trail that I hit my 50k caches found milestone .

Pictures posted with CCX4-000 log.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
