Found it Mkuutomasi found Anonsaari

Thursday, 21 January 2016Finland

The call of T5 was too strong. After work, around six pm, I drove to the police cottage at the end of Miettulantie. Nobody was there and I guess it did nobody disturb that I parked the car close by for some minutes. I placed the mobile phone in my left glove to avoid freezing of battery. Yesterday I made very bad experience with that problem. Two flashlights and a headlight should be enough.
I stepped on the lake and noticed that there would be less then 700 m. Not too far, but it was so cold :-)
Actually that was the great experience. Temperature around -25 degrees. I did not often experience that!
My way towards the island was supported by a strong moonlight. That is why I placed the flashlights into my pocket. Arriving at the Anonsaari, I stepped back onto real solid ground. To be honest, that is a good feeling. I took one flashlight and moved forward. Normally steep hills are no problem, but snow and ice made it quiet difficult in that case. I needed my hands to get some extra grip. So, flashlight into mouth and while I did so, I realized the stupid doing! Instantly the flashlight was frozen at my tongue :-) Holy shit! I needed some time to remove it including some parts of my lips and tongue. Very stupid! With my light in the pocket, I climbed up trying to finding save steps. My fingers felt very cold, but now most exhausting part was done. I started to look for the cache. There were plenty of good hiding places, but the headlight shined on a special hiding place. I did not see a cache container, but something else. What the hell is that? Short investigation and I removed the gloves, opened the cache and signed the logbook. Everything in very good conditions!
The thing was returned and I tried to find a better way back to the lake. Finally I sledded on my bottom down to the shore :-)
Fortunately, controlled!
There was some wind uprising which really was hurting my face. I was very happy to be back at the car.
None the less the winter wonder landscape is incredible enchanting! I loved it!
Thanks a lot for leading me here and thanks a lot for the funny cache! Great experience!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
