How nice it was to meet you all during our M & G in Helsinki. Especially because you were present with so many people, the event was very successful: (very) young and old were represented.
From your comments we note that it was also very nice for you to meet fellow cachers: who is the person behind the logs and the caches. We (Margreeth - Zelfwijs) and me (Gert - Galjas) have at least enjoyed it very much and we got a few good tips about some caches.
The location and timing of the event were chosen after Tilhet's advice, thanks for that Milka: a lunch break at a modern monument on an impressive square, just in the middle of the city center!!
After the event we went to Kappeli on the Esplanadi to drink coffee and taste the special atmosphere there. Then we went back to the Kasarmitori square to find the cache, without all kinds of muggles looking at our fingers ;).
We have found the caches: Have a Look around, Market Square, City museum, NMS14 Uspenski, Puck, Kamppi Chapel of Silence.
After that we went to Suomenlinna, but it was already too dark for that. It was a great experience for us to sail through the ice with the ferry. Unfortunately, the church was closed and the tomb too slippery and too dark. At Suomenlinna we have only found the cache Joyful house and we are going to see if we can answer the questions about the stalactites. Unfortunately, we soon had to go back to the city.
We closed our cache day in the Railwaystation at the Burger King, a very nice cache there! By tram back to the terminal, where we could happily find the last cache (by a great tip during the m & g).
During the crossing to Tallinn it snowed very hard! Fortunately we could log the terminal cache without problems.
We enjoyed Tallinn! Highly recommended, nice caches not too far from the ferry terminal.
Oh yes, the boys played a nice innybandy tournament, despite the sturdy suit on their pants by the Finns, but yes ... you are world champion and we are about 25th.
We are looking back on a very fun and adventurous week in the north and think back with pleasure at the meeting on the Kasarmitori square.
Thanks and many greetings from the Netherlands / Kiitos ja paljon terveisiä Alankomaista.
Margreeth-Zelfwijs / Gert-Galjas
I have made a list of all trackables that we have taken to and from Helsinki. If someone has not discovered everything and is interested in that list, then just send me an e-mail.
