400th puzzle

What a great puzzle. It took me about a month until I finally had it solved, and I then decided to save it for a landmark find. With a holiday coming up, it turned out that I needed to arrange a few finds earlier this week so that I could get this one before I left.

We'd easily found Colours beforehand, and then drove onto this. It was starting to get dark by now and we only had the one wind-up torch: by the end poor Bobcat was having to search using braille. There were loads of possible hiding places and after twenty minutes I was thinking of giving up.

I tried one last hole and there it was. What a cunning hide! No wonder some of the others have complained.

I checked the GPS as I wrote my log and it was now showing just 10 feet away - surprisingly close under so much tree cover.

Took a pick and left a box of drinking games

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
