For the effort, this hike is probably one of the best in the Canadian Rockies, if not the world! An easy trail leads to 360 degree views up at Wilcox Pass. GeoJamie22 and I made use of the nicest day of our weekend to tackle Wilcox Peak. We made good time up to the pass then found a good trail up the peak.

The trail eventually petered out and we were left with some tricky moderate scrambling up to the summit. The way down was surprisingly way easier (maybe we found a better way?) and we made it back to the trail and descended down.

We made a right turn and [FOUND] this cap and the nearby virtual. A fantastic day out!

Up there!

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
