Found it The Wildleys found CC17 Sirhowy Valley Country Park (Raven3)

Saturday, May 14, 2005South Wales, United Kingdom

Today, we took on the Raven Walk challenge! We left the Cwmcarn Visitor Centre at 10.00 and found this third Raven cache at 14.05.

Crossing Nant-y-draenog Reservoir, we walked briefly uphill and through a field, past a chapel that was recently converted to a house, and down into Ynysddu. We crossed over the River Ebbw and walked shortly but steeply up to the railway platform, where Simon spotted a glow worm. We enjoyed the walk along the disused railway line. Although a leafy tunnel of green, it felt spacious and airy.

The sharp climb up the steps was a bit of a shock after the pleasant stretch of flat. Simon found the cache in half a minute, but we spent a little time here taking our second brass rubbings and admiring the stream tumbling down the hill nearby.

We took a rubber duckie (which turns from orange to yellow in the bath) and left a dinosaur (some assembly required).

Thanks for this third Raven cache!

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
