I think it was in 2010 that I first heard of the Jasmer challenge and started filling in some of the easier holes in my grid. In 2011 I took it a bit more seriously and I got down to eight squares outstanding, that being the best that could be done within the United Kingdom. No progress in 2012, so come 2013 I decided I really must get on with it. After much preparation I, and my best mate WhiteFriar, were on our way to the cradle of GeoCaching for some of the oldest caches in the world (and a few others).
Today we left Corvallis and headed North to Portland for an evening event. Naturally we collected a few interesting / esoteric caches along the way....
Bookmark list completed http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=75e70cf1-e28d-457f-8191-81496448180a with a total of 91 qualifying caches. We originally logged this as a DNF but were convinced that we had looked in the correct place and that it was missing. The CO has subsequent confirmed that the cache has gone AWOL and kindly given us permission to log this as a find. (I had provided photos of where I believed the cache should have been.)
