Found it Black Shark found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Saturday, May 6, 2017Alberta, Canada

BCP385 Kennedale Ravine

Finding this brass cap was a gong show right from the time we left BCP768 to within metres of the cap itself. The list is too long to go into and we can only hope there were no witnesses to parts of it! The drive over was full of interesting sights while the GPS lost its stubborn little mind over our route. Later we found it was set for the wrong cap, but fortunately Mr Shark knew where he wanted to go and how he wanted to get there. How we dealt with the construction blockages near GZ was hilarious (or alarming) to any onlookers, but no one got hurt and hopefully no one witnessed the whole circus act. The last leg to GZ went very smoothly and another tough search was averted thanks to quickly spotting the stake and finding the cap right at its base. Thanks for the laughs, sights along the way and the cap, outforthehunt. We were fortunate to come away unscathed and able to carry on!

A welcome sight in the bush

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
