Found it Love found Rainier Summit Earthcache

Friday, July 25, 2008Washington

I finally made it! I've been preparing and training for this since January. Definitely my best cache find to date because of the experience. :) I went with a guided group and had a great time. We got lucky, as I think we were the only group of the day who got to see some clear skies up on the summit before the clouds rolled in. I, of course, told everyone in the group my plans for finding the cache on top and they were all interested to hear about geocaching. I've emailed the owner with details. TFTC!

infoAn Earthcache is an educational form of a virtual cache. The reward for these caches is learning more about the planet on which we live - its landscapes, its geology or the minerals and fossils that are found there. Many Earthcaches are in National Parks. Some are multi-cache in form, and some have a physical log book located in or close to a Visitor Center. Earthcaches are developed in association with the Geological Society of America.
