I don’t think I have ever been on this side of the river in Stanley Park before. It was deserted, which was good, as I was here for quite a while. I found the right spot beneath a few pieces of survey tape and confirmed that the cap was there with my compass. However, it soon became apparent that the cap was in a fairly deep hole full of ice. I went back to the car to get a tire iron and that device proved to be the perfect tool to dig through about 15cm of hard ice. The cap was in fairly bad shape with the date unreadable but the ASCM number was still legible. Thanks for the cap in a park ofth.
