Found it Black Shark found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Wednesday, 04 June 2014Alberta, Canada

BCP255 Red Deer - Taylor Bridge

We wondered if this cap might be clearly marked due to construction east of Taylor Bridge. It wasn't. Instead we had to make our first actual search for a cap. The search was interrupted by a friend bicycling by who thought we were taking "nature pictures". Sure! It saved a lot of explaining and possibly a strange look, not that we're unfamiliar (or uncomfortable) with those! Once she went on her way, Mr Shark shortly poked an odd sounding spot on the ground. The cap is in great shape and easily readable. Peeks at the Red Deer River through the trees shows it is seasonally a bit high and dirty. Thanks for the afternoon stroll along a nice section of trail and the cap.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
