Found it The Wildleys found Steptoe Butte

Thursday, January 6, 2005Washington

We'd been up Steptoe several times before, but not since taking up geocaching.

This was an enjoyable find, despite -- or perhaps because of -- the snow. We only lost traction on the very last climb to the summit!

The summit was in cloud as we made it to the top; and, by the time we were driving back down again, cloud had descended over much of the surrounding land.

Thanks for a great way to break up a drive from Pullman to Spokane!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
