Didn't find it EdgeMonks couldn't find Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Saturday, 03 September 2016Alberta, Canada

BCP559 Lethbridge 7th Ave

We noted the new sidewalk that's been place here. Based on the old context photos, I dug along the edge of the sidewalk to see whether the cap was easy to find. Some people came along and asked whether we were the homeowners since they were interested in the heritage tree in the backyard. It turns out that this cap is close to an old Black Walnut tree. So we were then distracted from the cap and admired the tree, and I realize now that I should have taken a new photo to see whether we could line up the old context photos with a new one and determine whether the cap is now under concrete or not.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
