Found it The Wildleys found CC15 Nant y Crochan (Raven1)

Saturday, May 14, 2005South Wales, United Kingdom

Today, we took on the Raven Walk challenge! We left the Cwmcarn Visitor Centre at 10.00 and found this first Raven cache at 11.20.

We obtained the Raven Walk booklet at the visitor centre and found it an excellent and informative guide to the route. However, we were glad to have the OS maps with us as well, and we used them a few times when the instructions weren't so clear.

It was a sunny day with a bit of cloud and a very strong breeze, which was chilly at times. We set off up the flank of Mynydd y Lan, quite steeply at first, but the path took us through pleasant and peaceful woodland. When we reached the cache location, the landscape opened up into common, and we had spectacular views to the north.

We found the cache without too much difficulty. Took nothing; left a (fairly easy) ball bearing puzzle.

Before leaving, we each made our first of the four brass rubbings.

Thanks for the first cache along this spectacular route!

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
