Saturday, 16 July 2011Alberta, Canada

BCP533 Bad Mega Event
Location: N51°42.654 W113°14.494
Elevation: 924m

Like almost everyone else, we stopped by this cap during the MEGA EVENT! Didn't feel right about stopping on the highway, so we pulled into the Super 8 parking lot and made the short walk along the very evident geotrail to the cap. It was nice to see the GPS was nearly on the money today, including elevation (which is rare). The cap itself was well exposed thanks to multitudes of previous cachers in a medium sized hole and was in pretty good shape overall. I wonder if this cap will surpass Varsity (the very first brass cap) as the most found cap... we'll see! TFTBC!!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
