BCP351 - Ram Lookout Tower

Well this was my second lookout visit of the day. The trip to the lookout from the parking area took just over 2 hours and the track log showed a one way trip distance of just over 7 km. The trail to the lookout was in good shape with the exception of one ridge that requires hikers to skirt around the 6 - 7 foot high snow drift.

After arriving at the lookout I was quite surprised to find that the cap was another 200 metres past the lookout. Fortunately the cap was snow free and this allowed me to snap the necessary pictures.

I wandered back up to the lookout and chatted with Harvey the lookout keeper about the near by cache he has helped to look after for the last few years. Simply a superior hike on a good trail - TFTH and the pictures are on the way.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
