Had to go up to Edmonton to finish up my organic chem labs. I'd planned to do some caching while I was there, but didn't manage to actually get out. I was a bit busy doing actual work, and on top of that, I'd forgotten my USB cable, so I didn't have my Edmonton maps loaded up (or my Edmonton Caches for that matter).
Anyways I just couldn't take a trip up North without at least getting some geocaching done. Finished my labs just before lunch, so I had some time on my way back to grab a few caps. This was the first one I got. Somewhat of a social trail seems to have formed to this cap. Dipped my food in the drainage ditch on my way out. Thanks for the cap.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
