Found it Mr. CanoeHead found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Sunday, July 24, 2011Alberta, Canada

BCP 272 Tilley. We knew this one would be deep by the hint but didn't expect it to be quite so deep. I used the metal detector to confirm that there was actually something way down there before attempting to excavate the bottom of the existing hole that was already close to a meter deep. I was laying face down (hey, I was 'planking' ... cool) with head and shoulders down into the hole digging away excess dirt when I made contact with cap. For a cap that is so well covered, it sure has taken a beating over the years, probably as part of work on the canal. TFTCap.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
