Found it BaSHful found Challenge: Kunsten at stige i (sværheds)graderne

Tuesday, October 15, 2013Denmark

So why would we come to Denmark for the day? Well, it is a nice place but the truth of the matter is that our primary objective was to finally complete the Jasmer challenge. At the end of 2011 I had eight to go, none of which could be found in the UK and there I remained stuck. This year I resolve to finish it. In July a visit to Sweden got my first. Then in August a trip to the USA (Washington state and Oregon) got me six more.

The alarm woke us at 04:30 and a few hours later we were picking up our hire car. The weather was kind to us and it remained dry throughout. All critical caches found, though a couple of disappointments along the way. At the end we had completed the Jasmer challenge and managed 8 different caches types during the day. We also managed to collect four challenge caches before it was time to return to the airport. Then we found our flight was delayed by nearly two hours! We did eventually get home but it was a very, very long day! Was it worth it? Definitely!!

I am currently just two short of completing the T/D grid for the third time, so I am comfortably qualified for this one. WhiteFriar was uncertain whether we had time for this one and a swift find would be essential if we were to get back to the airport in time. Fortunately we were able to park quite close and thanks to a useful hint we went straight to it. Have a fav point.

My grid as at finding this cache.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
