I've been waiting for a few weeks for this CITO. Since it was so close to my home, and my first CITO, I wanted to make it a milestone. This was cache 1500 for me.

Thank you, Quigley Jones, for arranging this event. It was great to see some familiar faces and to clean up the beach. I was wrong about the type of garbage that was out there - it wasn't just small stuff after all. My goodness, we found some disgusting things! We estimated around 300 pounds worth of garbage.

Worked with a great team of Charell, Hollyburn and Roscoe9 and a mother daughter muggle pair who did not really get the whole geocaching side of things at all. Not to worry, we still had great fun today, and the sun shone to celebrate.

Thanks for the milestone cache event. :D

infoCache In Trash Out Events are organized clean-up events that involve and benefit the larger community. Cache In Trash Out is an activity intimately tied to geocaching. While out there on a cache hunt, geocachers collect litter along the trails and properly dispose of it.
