Out and about with my good mate WhiteFriar on a very pleasant Summer's day - yes it does look as though Summer is finally with us! Still a little chilly first thing when we set out from Dorking a little after 7:00 am but it soon warmed up. Our journey first took us Westward and then South Westward until we eventually ended up in the Portsmouth area. We collected Church Micros for the most part - it is amazing how they keep springing up - we can't keep up with them! Some picturesque churches along the way and some longer than usual Multis - not difficult but taking longer than planned for. It was also an opportunity to collect a few more Challenge caches a couple of terrain 5s and one Virtual. Regrettably we never reached the Wherigos and Earthcaches included (perhaps optimistically) in the plan. Weather permitting, we are already talking about coming back next week to continue where we left off. We finished early at around 7:00 pm so as to give us time to drop in on the Surrey event, this month held in Farnham, on the way home. Overall, despite the one DNF, a really great day.
1147 trackables logged as at the time of finding this cache, so qualified with a bit to spare. At GZ we were wandering all over the place as we had sadly neglected to read the information on the web page! Fortunately the cache owner was at home, spotted us and came to our rescue. Time for a little chat then on to the next (another nearby challenge).
