Found it DomHeknows found Jeff's Puzzle #1

Friday, 17 June 2005Ohio

I'm pleased to announce that today must be my lucky day after being ftf on one cache this morning and finally finding this one tonight.
After a hint from plook on some extra equipment that might help I was able to work out where the cache was - and right on the spot of one of my original places to look (but not hard enough)
What is weird is that the distances to xub and ape when at the cache spot were correct, yet when I used the gps to project a waypoint they were 5.6 miles apart.
Left 2/4 sig item and very tempted to leave the gps (or at least the projecting bit).

Thanks for a frustrating 10 days. Hopefully it won't take me three attempts on #2.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
