Well it was with mixed emotions that I along with a large group of others, found this cap. Usually when you say "mixed emotions", it means happiness and sadness. Well this time it was pure happiness mixed with a good helping of, speaking for myself anyway, embarrassment.
Three or four cars of cachers travelled over after a successful CITO and by the time our car load of cappers arrived on scene the cappers were almost 10 in number, I'd say. Then, about 10 seconds later, gumbyphv says, "Here it is!", and started to clean the cap off.
And there it was.
mkPerry and I, who had looked for good while for this one and DNF'd it last night, just stood there on opposite sides of the gathering, looked at each other and shook our heads in disbelief.
Then the joy started, still laced with some of that embarrassment I must admit.
Thanks very much for the cap so close to home OFTH! After we'd finished up with this one and found another close by, I had this strange craving for fried chicken. Where did that come from? So I stopped in at the nearby Mary Brown's. I know, I know, it's not quite like that 7-Eleven fried chicken, but it will do in a pinch.
