Didn't find it Mr. CanoeHead couldn't find Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Sunday, May 19, 2013Alberta, Canada

BCP613 Canmore RR
We took a try at this one this morning in the rain at Canmore. Took the nice easy path to ground zero and then paced off the clue to corroborate the GPS reading. Then we pulled out the metal detector and began scanning the ground. Lots of metal debris in the ground and lots of interference from the re-bars in the cement and the surrounding metal structure. Dug into a couple of spots where we had the best readings but came up blank. We will be back to give this one another try.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
