Found it Black Shark found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Saturday, 02 August 2014Alberta, Canada

BCP253 Edmonton CPR
A previous attempt was made at this cap but with no tools, a jumpy GPS and no visible signs of a cap under 30 cm tall grass, I had to walk away. Today, however, I arrived armed with tools and a happier GPS to find the grass recently cut. Context shots were very helpful and then the metal detector phone app was deployed. It worked very well quickly finding the spot which was confirmed with a few pokes! 12 - 13 cm of dirt were quickly removed to reveal a somewhat beat up cap. Some of the numbers are still visible. Thanks for the twofer cap day, outforthehunt. Nothing compared to some others, but satisfying under the circumstances!

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on
