Found it Gimli*/GeoJoce found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Monday, 03 April 2017Alberta, Canada

BCP729 - Strathearn Crescent

There was a recommendation on the Edmonton FB page to come and find this cap as it was in good shape. I decided to follow that and come and seek it out today after work.

Like so many others, I'm sure, the news of this cache's archival was almost heartbreaking and just means between now and May 7 there is some finding to do. :)

The house I parked next to was huge and for sale! lol (no thanks) The view was amazing and the wind was brisk. I found the cap after a few minutes of nose to the ground. It was uncovered and in ok shape. Took my pictures and sat on the bench for a few minutes. Only a few as the wind was a bit biting up here.

On my way home, I tried to find another cap nearby but realized with no tools it would be a no go (I gave it my best). This one was good for today. TFTC OFTH and for your years of work with this cache. So sorry to see it go.

Context....sort of.:) Great view here.
infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
