After consulting with the reviewers the time has come to archive this cache. Thanks to everyone who visited this historic site and one of the last Webcam geocaches in Texas. I have attempted to locate other sites to stage a webcam but was unable to find anything on the Alamo grounds. Also entering into the decision is the upcoming Alamo plaza construction project that will likely disrupt any alternate sites. Thank you to West Texas Reviewer and Reviewer Revan for working with me to find another solution. This difficult decision was made jointly and I believe I speak for all of us that we are disappointed to see this go.

The attached picture was the first webcam photo taken 13 and a half years ago. The little boy is now in his Junior year in College studying Mechanical Engineering. Shout out to 9key for approving this cache and to Bilderback for the first to find. Cybercat was the 2nd but will always be first in my heart for all she has done for the San Antonio geocaching community.

Happy Trails to y'all!

infoA Webcam "cache" are caches that use existing web cameras placed by individuals or agencies that monitor various areas like parks or road conditions. The idea is to get yourself in front of the camera to log your visit. The challenging part, however, it that you need to call a friend to look up the web site that displays the camera shot. You will need to have them to save the picture to log the cache. You could also use your wireless modem or cell phoneand save the image yourself on your laptop. Webcam caches are now in the Web Camera category on Waymarking.com
