Momzee, Tyler and I had spotted this cap before it was published when we visited in September 2014 to find the nearby geocache. Today we returned along with 2Sloths to officially log the cap. For some reason, we decided that a visit to Lake Louise on the Labour Day Monday would be a good idea. I mean it was raining and it was the last day of the long weekend with most kids already back in school last week. How crowded could it be.? As we passed the overflow parking, we could see a packed lot with the Moraine Lake shuttle buses in operation. As we approached the lake parking area, there were people parked all down the road and a procession of cars heading in the lot. Did I say it was raining? Well after out last cap outing to Fisher Ridge where it seemed everything went against us, today was a day where everything worked out great. As we moved through the line in the parking lot a car decided to back out of a prime spot right in front of us. Woohoo! As we got out of the car, it stopped raining. Woohoo! As we turned off the Lake Agnes Trail head to head up Little Beehive, there was no sign of anyone else on the trail. Woohoo! When we got to the cap the cloud cover briefly lifted for us to get a glimpse of the terrific view. We decided to take the Lake Agnes route back. We went at a pretty good pace and were back at the car in under an hour. We decided to stop by Moraine LAke on the way back and found ample parking when we arrived. Woohoo! We celebrated our successful day with a nice dinner in Banff. Another fun outing! Thanks for the cap OFTH!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
