Found it jodibee found The Grapes Of Wrath

Thursday, January 31, 2013Wisconsin

Needed a cache for the date grid (only one more to go!), so a nearby Spike hide was perfect! I actually enjoyed the book. I still remember reading about all the dust, and feeling like I could taste it. I'm not a huge Steinbeck fan, since he tends to get a bit gloomy for me, but that one I liked.

Sooo bitter cold wind out today that the poor little grapes of wrath were quite frosted. Followed the geotrail through the snow to the clever hide. Fingers about froze getting the cache open and log out & signed. Then I had a tough time re-rolling log tight enough. Finally got it rolled and stuck into the lid, and couldn't figure out where I put the base of the cache! Visual review of gloves, semi-frozen fingers, quick check of pockets, and then I spotted it on the ground! Luckily it stands out against white snow. Hightailed it back to the car with heated seats and headed for home. TFTC

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
