Found it BVPete found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Tuesday, 30 August 2016Alberta, Canada

BCP348 Dove of Hope

Mrs BVPete and I walked around NW end of the conservatory from the parking lot today resulting in a slightly longer route to the cap than going around the SE end. The cap was a very quick find, hard to miss a survey type miniature man hole cover in the grass. I popped the top off to see what was what, although I am aware that ofth doesn't require this action to claim a find on these types of caps. There was a very nice view of the interesting Conservatory buildings for this site. I think I used to ski on weekends at the nearby ski club about 53 years ago or so. Seems to me it is a bit more developed around here now! We had a little picnic after finding the cap, after which we continued our expedition.

Thanks for posting this cap ofth, it is an interesting place.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
