Found it brendan714 found An ASCM Virtual Cache

Saturday, December 2, 2017Alberta, Canada

After a day of ice climbing at the Canmore Junkyards with Hunthikers, we decided that we just HAD to stop off on the way home to get this virtual. We parked just south of the posted coordinates in the nearby neighbourhood and decided to start off with the third and final stage of the virtual. As we neared the cache the views really opened up - wow! What an awesome spot! I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera in the car!

The cap was a quick find, and we took note of the required info. From there, we took a little walk down the long staircase to pick up the remaining two info pieces.

It's funny to see TiE's log from less than 2 weeks ago - all that snow is completely gone! In fact, the snowline is now at about 2,200 meters! It sure has been a relatively mild past couple weeks.

Not only was this virtual very well deserved for my favourite cache hider, but it was placed in a phenomenal location. Thanks BVPete!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
