A.I.R.??? Alexander Indian Reserve. Got it. We had 4 hours available between our son's races today, so we took a drive north of Edmonton to grab a few caps and caches. We came prepared for possible major snow/ice excavations, but this first cap proved to be a quick find. The snow, although 2 feet deep, was dry and grainy making for a quick clearing. There hadn't been a melt-off around here so there was no ice to speak of. The excavation location was pinpointed thanks to a previous vdD context shot. Our second Canada Land Survey IR cap in as many finds. These are fine looking caps. Thanks for another fun outing OFTH!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
