Found it Losmir found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Friday, 24 September 2010Alberta, Canada

BCP158 - Drumheller
Location: N51 27.824 W112 42.389
Elevation: 680m

Like many others, we initially thought that the cap was within the nearby planter... it was stuffed full of garbage (and particularly disgusting garbage at that). As we walked around the planter, we spotted the aptly labeled "Survey Monument" cover. The cover was wedged in quite well and I had to resort to prying the cover off. As I lifted the cover, somehow it bit me on the knuckle... I guess it didn't want to give up the treasure inside. We had to remove about three inches of fresh dirt from inside before the cap was visible. The uncovered cap turned out to be in excellent shape due to its protected location. We took the required pictures and replaced the cover, leaving satisfied with the find, but somewhat injured. TFTBC!!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
