TC54915 & I have been talking the last couple days about doing a night cache. Earlier today we decided to do one tonight after I was done working my second job. So after working 13 hours I head home change and get TJdancer. We met TC out at the parking lot.

Everyone ready we walk past the gate. TJ goes back to the car and puts her rain boots on.

TC makes it over the little not so good timbers. Adam makes it over. I make it over. TJ makes it over, we're doing good. Nick starts and his leg slips and one leg in he goes. He's soaked up past his knee. He turns around and goes back to the car.

Now the kids gave up, Adam and TJ go back over the water and back to the car. TC and I head on. I think we only got 50 feet and see it's water all the way.

This is when we decided to go back and wait for winter. I got about 1/2 way over the water and my foot slips, in I go. I'm up to my waist and I'm stuck. It like vapor locked my feet on the bottom in the muck. I get out, TC makes it back over safe and I strip down to my underwear and shirt everything is soaked.

I get the car running, what my heater don't want to turn on. Thank God TC had a blanket in her car, I haven't put mine in the car yet. A couple minutes later the heat kicks on and I start to warm up and stop shivering. Home to get everything in the washer and me to a hot shower.

Honestly I feel the terrain could be bumped up. We'll be back I think when it freezes.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
