BCP463 Ole' Buck Mtn
Accompanied by my son & the ever eager mutt Pippin, we set off in search of adventure in the form of a moderate early season hike in the clean mountain air sustained by the occasional smiley & fortified at the summit with a full helping of brass.
As we all know the best laid plans can sometimes go awry & this was more of a spontaneous leap in any case so there was plenty of room for chance variables to intervene. The hike started out very well but as we gained elevation we were amazed with the accumalation of the white stuff on the ground. This most unwelcome white precipitation was turning a straightforward hike into much more of a grunt so that by the time we got to the top, the footwear was completely saturated & to add to the adventure, the sun had dipped behind the clouds, the wind was picking up & a steady snow was starting to fall. Not to be deterred by these minor inconveniences we continued on the to the ultimate objective which thankfully was found quite easily. After the obligatory pics & grabbing SH's nearby cache, it was something of a hurried descent back to the vehicle.
TFTCap & the adventure OFTH!
