We're finishing up the Bear Bait series with densspot today and wanted to take a break - couldn't think of a better way than to head off the road to look for a nice vista. It was a cool (37 degrees but nice and sunny and not windy) day, perfect for walking through the woods toward the rocky vista. Never did find a trail, but kept heading toward GZ - not too bad a walk as long as we watched our feet to avoid twisting ankles in the uneven terrain. It took us 19 minutes walking slowly and carefully (.63 miles) on the way in and 25 minutes (.72 miles) on the way out, trying a different route. We enjoyed the trek and made a quick find, as the coords and description were excellent. The cache is in excellent shape. We took a fish hook out of it, so no cachers would catch their fingers and left a Wisconsin Wild card about black bears, a Smokey Bear keychain, and a Burger Beanie Bear that we thought were very appropriate for a Big Bear cache and also a little jack O lantern, as it's nearly Halloween and a snowman, as winter's coming. The trees have grown up quite high and thickly around the area, so the vista is a bit tricky to see, but it was still a nice sight. Check out the pics we're posting. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot. It was the highlight of our caching day.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
