Found it m4nTiSke & Helga <3 found Mystery längs 26:an #21

Saturday, 29 September 2018Värmland, Sweden

Had seen this event pop up a while ago and sure was interested in going... but didn't want to go all by myself.
A week before the event there was a CITO in Karlstad and I asked around if someone was willing to come with me.
GunnarLJ and Nevelyn_Gorgora were interested and after contacting Flasharry, he was interested as well. Nice!

Filipstad is about 60 km from Karlstad and to just go there for the event? Nope! There are so many nice caches over there, so why not make an entire day out of it?
Gunnar had already solved a few of the "Mystery längs 26:an" caches and that was going to be our main plan for the day, along with some other caches.
On Monday I created a Facebook Messenger group and Gunnar, Nevelyn and I started working on the mystery's from #1 to #38.
Flasharry was to busy caring for his newborn daughter, so he was excused from mystery-solving duty :P

We made some nice progress and by Thursday evening we had managed to solve almost 70% of the mysteries.
But now it was getting hard and it was time to get some help from the CO who provided us with some great extra hints.
As a result we solved all but a few by Friday evening... Those last ones would have to wait for another day as we had to get going pretty early on Saturday morning if we wanted to make the most of it.

On Saturday I picked up Gunnar around kl.07.30, Nevelyn a few moments later and last but not least Flasharry and little Flasharry (greatest cache spotter I have ever seen!). We arrived around kl.09.00 at the first cache and started making our way up north along the 26. Everything went very smooth. Only two hick-ups. At #19 we couldn't find the cache, but we picked that up on our way back to Filipstad. And in our haste to be at the event in time, we forgot to look for #8.

After our geocaching attack on the 26, we went to the event.
A lot of new and "old" faces! Nice to see so many people showing up and I enjoyed the cake after all the hard work we had already done that day.

When the event was done, we went looking for some more caches as we still had some time left.
First 2 caches I wanted for my D/T matrix and after that we went to Brattfors as there were still some caches left none of us had.
After finding those we headed back to Karlstad.
I think I can say we were all pretty tired after such a long and intensive day but that we all had a really great day!

So a big thanks to the CO for the event and all the caches that kept us busy during the last week!

We signed the logs with MGFN instead of seperate names... that would have taken a bit to long.
It might however be that there are a few logs that have some other letters... but that is my mistake :P

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
