Found it takssista found Aristides De Sousa Mendes

Friday, 10 April 2009Viseu, Portugal

After our DNF done some months ago, we returned on a holy friday, already with our homework done.

The matter is that, when we first came around, I had merely skimmed through the cache description, since I already know the illustrious consul since high school.

But this was it, and we had some trouble laying our hands on it, after 20 minutes waiting for a couple of muggle families to go away.

I'd like to remark that we were quite concerned about two items inside the cache: a couple of syringe needles (correctly packed, but dangerous nevertheless) and a metal-pointed dart.

Since this is a family game - often times done with kids, which some times are the first ones to find the cache - we took the liberty of taking those items out of the tupperware.

We were also very disappointed to find that Aristide's great mansion is still abandoned without repair.

In the end, a nice cache to pay homage to a great man.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
