Since I was not too far away from this brass cap, I made a slight detour to find it. I had two of my Garmin Oregons with me so in response to a Facebook post by Andronicus, I compared the coordinates and elevation at the cap for both units.

Posted location: 1036.7 m, N50 54.806 W114 01.864
My Oregon 300: 1038 m, N50 54.806 W114 01.866
My Oregon 550: 1040 m, N50 54.806 W114 01.866

I guess I need to do some calibration on these units and next time I will also bring along my Oregon 650 to compare. Thanks for this Brass Cap, ofth.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.
