BCP137 Steen River

We enjoyed the drive up here mainly because the highway remained open and that despite the fact the wild fires were certainly still burning in the area as we had witnessed plenty of dense smoke and several fires burning just off the highway in the trees. This made for something of a surreal drive, but a very memorable one to be sure.

This is one of the older caps in the database but seems to be gaining in popularity as time wears on. Will anyone else take on the norhtern adventuree...time will tell, but for my money it's well worth the effort of getting here. Oh yeah, the cap was an easy find once you do get up this way.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
