Found it colincactus found It’s All Elementary (Challenge Cache) (F59)

Thursday, April 2, 2015Southern England, United Kingdom

I remember doing a similar challenge near Havant a couple of years ago. For that one you only needed to find 100 elements but I ran the GSAK macro and discovered I had 110. So that qualified me for this one too.

Just for completion I ran the GSAK macro again today to see what has changed in two years. Now I have 114 elements.

I'd arranged to pick up my daughter in Lymington at 5pm. I had the time until then to do some caching so I drove down to Dorset with my son, arriving about midday, and we started with this challenge.

We saw a squirrel on the way here. Maybe that distracted us as we started off by spending a minute or two searching on the wrong path. However once we relocated I spotted the cache almost immediately.

Took the stringy man and left a golf ball. Then we looked up and realised we were standing right next to a golf course - I hope nobody thinks we just picked it up from there.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
