It seems like Geocaching.com has organised a new summer event for this year.
Not much is known about it yet. Just that you are looking for "The lost treasure of Mary Hyde", that you need to do some stuff during the next weekends and that this weekend is the kick-off for the event.
Mission for today... join a geocaching event and gather a crew.
I liked last years event, so why not give this one a try as well?

Mr.Zaibot is hosting an event in Filipstad today and my plan is to go there today.
It starts at 6 in the evening.
So plenty of time to do some other stuff today... like some caching perhaps? :P

The main idea is to slowly move towards Filipstad and hopefully find as much caches as possible.
Haven't got a real plan yet as to where I will stop to look for them.
The Brattfors area has a lot of nice trails with many with a lot of caches.
Solved some mystery caches in Filipstad, so I might go for them.
Or...
Oh well, plenty of choice and we will just see what the day brings.

The sun is present, all the necessary batteries are fully charged, my mountainbike and a small telescopic ladder are in the car, I double checked my caching backpack to see if I had everything with me.
So let's go!

First track of the day.
Started this one a few weeks ago but because of the mosquitoes we stopped earlier than expected.
So let's see if I can finish it today!

*** By kl.10.00 I got a message from MrZaibot telling me the event is tomorrow, not today! Lol, feel a bit stupid now for making such a silly mistake.
Ah well, so be it... still making a nice caching day out of this. ***

Tftc!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
