I guess someone might try the high terrain approach, but not me. Did you go that way to hide it and then notice there was an easier way? Found it easily and really liked this one. I hid it exactly where we found it, but made it a little harder to spot. That's what Goldie would do, right? Just for fun I rappelled back to the car.

Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book.
