BCP742 Cardinal Divide

The road into the area gets progressively rougher the further south of Cadomin you get, and it was no surprise that we found ourselves passing several folks who chose to ride quads up to the divide.

This was our primary target for the day and after the customary early morning start, we arrived on site at the parking area around 11:00 am. It was surprising to me the number of people who were at the parking area, most of whom were getting ready to set off on their quads.
We hiked over to the cap on fairly level terrain, encountering a few drains along the way. The scenery along the way is quite spectacular and well worth the energy expended in making the trip.
The cap itself is an interesting specimen, found underneath the cairn.

Thanks for the cap ofth. Yet another fine location!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
