Didn't find it Cachin8r couldn't find Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Wednesday, April 19, 2017Alberta, Canada

BCP236 Calgary - Meadowland Park

For some reason, I never really paid much attention to brass caps. In fact, I only found one and that was last summer at Westcan6. It was a recent mention of Groundspeak's new duplicate logging rule that made me realize I need to get these before my finds don't count anymore.

Though it was recently uncovered, the loose dirt and pine needles were scattered again, probably due to the wind. We poked around with a small shovel for a bit with no luck. There were a few curious muggles around so we decided to leave. We also realized we needed more tools to find these caps, so we didn't find the others we planned either. Looking forward to coming back next week!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
